Kevin is excited about the opportunity to serve as a District Judge for Tulsa and Pawnee Counties. A lifelong Tulsan, Kevin has a heart for public service. He has served as an Assistant District Attorney for Tulsa County for the last 11 years. As the Director of the Homicide Unit, Kevin has been the lead prosecutor on some of the most severe and high-profile murder cases in Tulsa County history. Kevin’s experience in the court room and in jury trials is matched by few, making him a perfect fit for a position on the bench.
Kevin has prosecuted many high profile cases, and has proven his ability to do his job under pressure and in front of significant local, regional, and national press coverage. More recently, Kevin and some of the cases he has prosecuted have been profiled on the A&E show After the First 48.
Kevin got his first taste of public service when he interned for Congressman Steve Largent in his Washington, D.C. office during Kevin’s senior year at TU. There he learned the value of effective communication with citizens who need help from their elected leaders.
Kevin is a proud product of Tulsa Public Schools, and graduated from Booker T. Washington high school. Kevin was a Presidential Scholar at The University of Tulsa, where he double majored in history and political science. Kevin obtained a Master’s of Public Service Administration from The Bush School at Texas A&M University, before returning to Tulsa to attend The University of Tulsa Law School.
In addition to serving in the District Attorney’s office, Kevin has also been a long time member of the board of the Tulsa Air & Space Museum. He now serves as a member of the Emeritus Board. A longtime history buff, Kevin has done extensive research on aircraft produced in Tulsa for World War II. His research culminated with the discovery of the Tulsamerican, a B-24 bomber funded by Tulsans and shot down off the coast of Croatia. That work resulted in the repatriation of the remains of the pilot, who was buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
Outside of work Kevin loves spending time with his wife, three daughters, and house full of pets.
